Svitolina, Jovanovski to meet in Baku final

Baku, Azerbaijan (SportsNetwork.com) – Former champions Elina Svitolina of Ukraine and Serbian Bojana Jovanovski reached the final of the Baku Cup with three-set victories in the semifinals on Saturday.

The second-seeded Svitolina, who won her maiden title here last year, rallied to beat 2010 French Open champ Francesca Schiavone of Italy 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 after the fifth-seeded Jovanovski outlasted Swiss Stefanie Voegele 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.

Svitolina, 19, will play her second WTA Tour final on Sunday.

The 22-year-old Jovanovski captured her first crown at this event in 2012. She also won a tournament in Tashkent last year.

The 2014 Baku champ will claim $43,000.
